Over the past two years, the Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce's Business to Business Showcase event has gone from strength to strength. Once again, Shackleton is going to be in attendance...

Since its inception, the DACC's Business to Business Showcase event has proved a hit with Dundee and Angus businesses, giving dozens of organisations a platform to promote what they do and the services they offer. But the Showcase is not just simple brand promotion; inspiration and insight are high on the agenda - with opportunities for professionals from across the community to connect with each other throughout the afternoon.

Opportunities and Events

This year's Business to Business Showcase is taking place in the historic Caird Hall, right in the heart of Dundee. Taking place on the afternoon of the 23rd of September from 1pm to 7pm, the Showcase will be bigger than previous years, which means even more opportunities to network. The event is open to members and non-members of the DACC and involves both an exhibition showcase of Dundee businesses, as well as a schedule of special events:

  • Showcase Exhibition: in Caird Hall, both DACC members and members of the public will be able to explore the talent and services offered by the businesses of Dundee and Angus. The Showcase is going to be the DACC's biggest yet, so make sure you arrive early - and don't forget to visit the Shackleton stand to find out how we can help you improve your business' IT performance.
  • Funding Your Business For Growth Seminar: whether you're a small start-up or a well-established industry heavyweight, growth should be on your agenda. The Showcase seminar is free and covers all aspects of business funding, including bank support, investment and crowdfunding.
  • AGM: a DACC members-only event which takes place after the Business Showcase ends. The AGM is a chance to have a say in the way Angus and Dundee's business community operates and is a way to put your organisation at the beating heart of a growing business landscape.
  • Buffet and Networking: as the Showcase comes to a close, food and drinks will be available along with a chance to relax and mingle with other attendees.

A Strong Foundation for Business

Shackleton is proud to be a part of the local business community - and we've been trumpeting its potential for a long time. While the DACC Showcase event certainly has a focus on Dundee and Angus, it also lets organisations like ours support each other and create a foundation which allows us to continue to compete with cities across the United Kingdom and the world. Working in IT throughout a range of sectors, we see the strengths of our regional businesses every day, along with their potential to grow and take advantage of local, national and international networks - the DACC is working to ensure we continue this trajectory.

Your Opportunity to Win with Shackleton!

Like many of our professional colleagues, we're looking forward to the Showcase with excitement: to show our appreciation for the support we get from the DACC and the wider community, we're holding a prize draw during the event. When you come to visit our stand, leave your business card and we'll enter you in a draw for a chance to win an Apple Watch!

Whether you attend the DACC Showcase as an exhibitor or as a member of the public, you'll find plenty of business inspiration. There's never been a more exciting time to be a business owner in this neck of the woods - come down and see us at the exhibition and find out how Shackleton could help you boost your company's IT performance as you look forward to the future!

The Business to Business Showcase takes place on Wednesday 23 September.
