Written by Shackleton Technologies, 25 September 2019
Leandra joined the Shackleton team in July as a Service Desk Coordinator. Many of you will have spoken with Leandra when phoning our service desk team so we thought it’s time for you to get to know her better via our series of team interviews.
What’s your career background?
After graduating from university, I spent a total of twelve years working in a variety of roles within corporate environments that have involved systems management, process improvement, co-ordination of customer deliveries.
How would you describe your role at Shackleton?
I would describe my role as coordinator of the client tickets raised. I may be the first point of contact for many clients, be it via the client portal, email or over the phone. Ultimately, I’m looking to ensure our clients have their tickets resolved in a prompt and efficient manner.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Shackleton?
I enjoy speaking with our clients, being able to deliver a resolution to tickets raised and the diversity of the role – every day is different. And, of course, working with our fantastic team here in the office!
What’s been the best moment in your life so far?
The best moment of my life so far was when my daughter was born.
Anyone famous that you would really like to meet?
I’d like to meet Lady Gaga. I’m a big fan of her music, particularly her earlier work but she’s a diverse character and I think she’d be quite inspirational.
Have you ever sung karaoke – what’s your song?
I have sung karaoke but very badly! I don’t have a song because I generally try and stay away from it – I just sing along when someone else is singing a good song.
Who is your favourite comedian?
I like Jimmy Carr, I went to see him once when he was in Dundee. I enjoy his quick wit and dry sense of humour.
Of the countries that you haven’t visited, which one would you like to visit most?
I’d like to visit Australia; I love the sun and it looks like an amazing place.
Out team members are big pizza lovers, which toppings do you like on your pizza?
As a vegetarian, it’s either a margarita or a veggie pizza - just no mushrooms please!
If you could splurge on one must-have item, what would it be?
A Tiffany necklace.
Name one thing on your bucket list?
I’d love to fly business class on a long-haul flight to an exotic location and see how the other half travel
